1 Peter 4:17 For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
Receiving God’s grace does not mean believers will not be judged. All people will be judged.
Peter gives a warning that should lead to encouragement and stronger faith. At first, this verse may seem terrorizing, but as John writes, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love” (1 John 4:18).
