1 Corinthians 2:15
The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments.
The Holy Spirit brings wisdom to those who will be engaged with God’s word, God’s people, and God’s Spirit. If one of these three is missing, then wisdom will be slow in coming. One does not need to go to theological seminary to gain this wisdom. One can be poorly educated in the eyes of the world but have great wisdom when it comes to knowing the Creator of the universe. One of the significant factors of godly wisdom is knowing the difference between right and wrong. This discernment helps one live a holy life pleasing to God. The world of unbelievers cannot understand this holy life. They see it as self-righteous, hypocritical, legalistic, boring, or burdensome. But for those filled with the Holy Spirit and growing in godly wisdom, this holy life is one of joy, fulfillment, peace, and meaning.
