For\u00a0God&#8217;s temple is holy, and you are that temple.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>One of the most dangerous things to do is to be a roadblock to the spiritual development of other people. Unfortunately, we do this without realizing it sometimes. Our intentions may be good from our perspective, but the love is more self-focused and self-serving. Love is in the background of all that Paul writes in this letter. He reaches the high point in ch. 13, the famous love chapter. How can we destroy God&#8217;s temple? One way is to desecrate it by making it unholy. Sin among God&#8217;s people should not be tolerated (see ch. 5 and the immoral man). Selfness and pride will be roadblocks to the spiritual growth of others. Back biting and gossiping will bring shame to people and cause harm to their reputations. We must keep the temple of God holy by obeying God&#8217;s commands in obedience to the Holy Spirit. To be holy we must be filled and controlled the Spirit of holiness.
