1 Corinthians 6:15
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never!
This is like the old saying, you are what you eat. In this case, we become how we act. If we give in to sensual pleasures, it will affect every other aspect of our lives. We will see people more as objects of pleasure than people for whom Christ died. On the contrary, if we give ourselves totally to Christ through entire sanctification, how we will live will begin to imitate Christ, especially in loving God by doing what pleases God, and loving others by doing whatever it takes personally to be witnesses and not hindrances for them to find God. This are two roads with two different outcomes. The choice is up to us which we will choose. The difficult part is that the road of pleasure and sin has big signs in bright neon lettering with many false messages of promised happiness. But once a person gets going far down this road, life begins to fall apart and the pain and hurts come. The road to Christ also makes promises but there is a cost at the gate to this road. This cost is one of personal commitment, consecration, and crucifixion. We must take up a cross as we enter through the gate. But as we begin this journey, we find peace, wholeness, deep joy, and purpose. Once again, this is a call to embrace the way of holiness, to experience all the fullness of Christ through the Holy Spirit who is our guide on this journey.
