Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.
God supplies all we need to carry out His will and plan for us. Long ago, one of my professors gave me a quote that has stuck with me and become my life phrase: “What God calls you to do, He will enable to you perform.” There have been many times when I have felt I was way over my head and challenged to do something that I did not have training or skill or personality to do. I have come to believe that God will open the right doors for me in areas where I can both grow and be used. God gives us spiritual gifts in order to be His effective witnesses in this world. We await the coming of the Lord. Meanwhile, we have a job to do, and God supplies all we need for this job. Sometimes (often) we will be stretched. Growth rarely comes easy. We have been created to work. God will give us the grace to do the jobs He has called us to do.
