1 Corinthians 2:10b-11
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
If we want to get to know God, we must learn to listen to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will work through our conscience to confirm or convict us about how we are living. The Holy Spirit knows the inner us. This is a mystery to us. Some people will claim that the voice we here is our own thoughts. Psychologists may question that anyone or anything can read our minds and thoughts. The thing is, however, that we are talking about the spiritual level, a realm of which science and psychology can only see the periphery. There is something deeper about us than can be studied or categorized. Those who work around dying people, like I do, can see this inner person. We can try to explain it away, but it does not good. There is something special and unique about us. The Holy Spirit can help us learn who God is.
