Romans 11:23 And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.
The time to make a decision for God is now, in this lifetime, why the offer is given. Some Jews will perish in unbelief. They will turn away from the truth. This is true also for many Gentiles. People hear the gospel but reject it for many reasons. Some people will just not believe it and think of it as a myth. Others will be scandalized by its claims. Others will want their own desires above the call of the cross and commitment. Some people become blinded by the material things of the world. Others do not want to change their ways because they are enslaved by the flesh. We must not let this blindness, ignorance, and rebellion keep us from God’s promises of new life in Christ. The Jews still have opportunity to be grafted back into the olive tree of the people of God who are experiencing God’s promises. There is always hope for those who turn their back on God in unbelief. We must never give up on people and hope that at some point, they will come to realize the depth of their depravity and rebellion and see the light of the gospel shine through the darkness of their lives.
