Romans 8:33-34 Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us

God is the one who is the final judge of all humanity. If we have put our faith in Jesus Christ, we should have assurance about judgment day. We do not need to live in fear of judgment. This also means that we do not need to live in fear of what other people say or do to us. People may ridicule us or give false accusations but God is on our side and we should not fear the outcome of human judgments. The basis for this is Jesus’ own death and resurrection. He was falsely accused by Jews and Romans, condemned, killed, but God raised him from death and exalted him to the highest place of honor. Verse 34 gives a simple catechism that shows the outcome of Jesus’ obedience to the Father. Paul mentions in this chapter that both the Spirit and the Son intercede for believers. Jesus qualifies as an intercessor because he faced what we face and came through it. He faced it with victory because of his faith and obedience, the two key requirements for us also to find victory.
