1 Corinthians 1:3
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Sometimes I end my emails or letters with “grace and peace.” This may be because I study Paul’s letters a lot. This is his typical greetings. These are two elements I need a lot in my life. Grace is all that God offers to me in Christ. I don’t deserve any of this only in that I am a creature of God and he loves me. Peace is the message that finds a home in a fractured world and broken hearts. In the busyness of my life, I need some tranquility and calmness, two bi-produces of peace. This is a prayer-wish Paul has for the Corinthians. The source of these is from the Father and Son.
